Who’s Ready for Windows 11?

The tech giant, Microsoft, has officially announced that Windows 11 is on its way during their event “What’s Next for Windows” which happened last June 24, 2021.

It is also said that all users of Windows 10 can upgrade their OS completely FREE! Everyone will be able to get their hands on it, but not all computers may not be able to handle the changes and have its features, and here’s why:

Minimum System Requirements:

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with 2 or more cores
RAM: 4 gigabytes (GB)
Storage: 64 GB or larger
Graphics Card: DirectX 12 or later
Display: HD 720P Resolution; at least 9″ screen (diagonally)

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster
RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB)
Storage: 32 GB or larger
Graphics Card: DirectX 9 or later
Display: 800×600 Resolution

See the difference? If your unit have 4-8 GB of RAM, it is recommended that you stay with Windows 10, and switch once you’ve upgraded your trusty companion. If you decided to go for it, be ready to experience difficulties in terms of multi-tasking or operating multiple apps/programs at once.

Windows 10 is NOT saying farewell. In fact, the support is until January 9, 2029 which gives us more time to be fully ready for the new era of operating systems.


As users, we are ecstatic to know right away what the new OS brings to the table, but let’s not forget that Windows 10 has not yet reached its peak (8 more years). Before we jump into the bandwagon, let’s stick to the one that is compatible with our systems and doesn’t stress its RAM too much.

Four Monitors, Four Gold Medals at DGP 2021 Summer

A quick look at specifications

The SW240 is recommended for professional photo editing. The 24″ WUXGA resolution in 16:10 aspect ratio gives designers room to work with their shots and mix colors. The SW270C on the other hand is an all-rounder. Equipped with USC Type-C, this 27″ QHD monitor has IPS Panel and Uniformity Technology for screen-wide color accuracy in addition to its HDR10 content support, 100% sRGB, 99% Adobe RGB, and 97% P3 color spaces.

SW271C is an upgraded version of the previous model. The noticeable differences between the two are the resolution and screen pixel density. This monitor has 4K resolution and 163 ppi compared to SW270C which has 2K resolution and 109 ppi.

The BenQ SW321C is the biggest in size with 32″ screen and 4K resolution that is supported by Paper Color Sync – software that gives the user the luxury to see the “print effect” on-screen.

FreeSync is AMD’s solution to eliminate “screen tearing” during gameplay – by
syncing your monitor and your graphics card to ensure smooth framerates.

Screen tearing appears as the horizontal line/s across your monitor screen
that occurs when either your graphics card is producing more frames than your
monitor’s capabilities OR when the monitor (Hz) refreshes too fast and your
graphics card can’t catch up.


Now we know what FreeSync does to our computers, so what does its other
tiers offer aside from preventing screen tearing?


Introduced on the year 2020, this tier retains all the features FreeSync has
to offer and with an additional innovation, which is the LFC or low framerate
compensation. When the framerate of the game goes below the minimum supported
refresh rate, these frames will be displayed multiple times to remain in the
supported refresh rate.

The downside, is that this feature may not work with HDR turned on – which brings
us to the highest tier, Premium Pro.


Also known as FreeSync 2, this tier now adds HDR capabilities for supported
games and displays. As the game evolves in terms of graphics, there has been
more demand for a more immersive visual gaming experience, and FreeSync Premium
Pro made it happen.


For hardcore gamers and pro esports athletes, one screen tear may change the
outcome of a competitive game. Making sure that your gaming monitor and
graphics card is compatible and synced with one another is a MUST and needs to
be taken care of as long as you have the budget to get the necessary upgrades.
